The Body Shop Technician is responsible for performing high-quality collision repairs and refinishing work on vehicles to restore them to pre-accident condition. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The technician works closely with estimators, painters, and parts staff to ensure a seamless repair process that meets or exceeds OEM and insurance standards.
Perform complete and accurate body repairs, including panel replacement, metal straightening, frame alignment, and structural repair.
Disassemble and reassemble vehicles for repair and refinishing.
Ensure all repairs meet OEM specifications and quality standards.
Perform welding, grinding, filling, sanding, and body panel alignment.
Collaborate with estimators and painters to ensure timely and accurate repair completion.
Conduct quality checks on completed work prior to paint and final delivery.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in a clean and organized manner.
Follow all safety and environmental regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
Keep detailed documentation of repair work and communicate effectively with the team.
